The “Conservation programme for birds in Switzerland” was launched in 2003 by the Swiss Ornithological Institute in Sempach and BirdLife Switzerland, in close collaboration with the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN. It focuses on bird species that are a priority for conservation efforts.
